The Tent Show

Organised by Parfyme Deluxe, The Tent Show is the first stage in developing the Ideas Jamboree a project occuring across 4 sites in 4 countries in Summer 2008.

The Tent Show will be a multi-dimensional illustration of the ideas behind the project – showing prototype tents of different sizes, filled with drawings and texts, beds and tools. The show will be combined with a small ‘festival’ presented in a large outdoor tent.

When you step inside the Kunsthallen Nikolaj, you will see a tent city – the prototype tents, each housing the ephemera that will exemplify the Jamboree. There will be a kitchen tent, a workshop tent, a map tent (showing maps of the proposed Jamboree locations), and a video tent. These core tents will be surrounded by living tents – built and sent by future participants, filled with the things they would use during their tenure at the Jamboree. This collaborative presentation will begin to set the stage for the living, growing Ideas Jamboree.
